Chris Connor - CEO

In addition to his role with Nexus, Chris is the CEO of CDAX Group and sits on the Boards of several UK and Isle of Man companies. His previous roles include COO, Barclays Wealth, Managing Director, Barclays Private Clients International and CEO of a successful Isle of Man based Payment Business.

A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, the Chartered Management Institute, and the London Institute of Banking & Finance, as well as a Prince2 Practitioner, Chris demonstrates deep expertise and credibility in the financial and management sectors.

Christian Cowley - CFO

Christian is a highly accomplished Chartered Fellow Certified Accountant with extensive expertise across diverse sectors, including leisure, banking, financial services, and public practice.

With degrees in Law and Archaeology and a distinguished career spanning decades, Christian has excelled in strategic financial management, operational control, and business transformation.

His professional highlights include successfully overseeing the financial reorganisation of a pre-paid card provider, driving a threefold net profit increase for a payroll and service company, and managing cost budgets for international banking operations with over 1,000 employees. Known for his technical acumen, client-focused approach, and exceptional leadership, he has demonstrated a consistent ability to drive revenue growth, optimise resources, and deliver innovative solutions.

Christian's career includes leadership roles as Director at Oak Group (IOM) Limited and CDAX Group, as well as entrepreneurial ventures, including establishing a thriving accountancy practice. Christian's academic credentials, combined with his achievements in financial strategy, client advocacy, and operational excellence, underscore his ability to navigate complex business landscapes while achieving sustainable results.

Grant Cairney - CCO

An experienced, commercially minded risk and regulatory compliance professional with over 12 years of expertise in financial services, payments, and digital currencies. Highly skilled in licensing, setup, and operational management of fiat, crypto, and digital payment platforms and exchanges on the Isle of Man, with a passion for implementing innovative, technology-focused control and management systems.

Grant’s previous roles include Chief Compliance Officer for the Isle of Man’s first licensed eMoney issuer, Head of Compliance for a leading fiduciary service provider, and Consultant and Interim Compliance Officer for numerous financial services and eGaming clients on the Isle of Man.

In addition to his roles with Nexus and CDAX Group, Grant serves as the co-founder and COO of an Isle of Man-based multi-functional risk and compliance RegTech SaaS company, launched in 2024.

Grant is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association.
